In the event of a long term power outage (as in over night) how do you keep your hedgie warm while your sleeping and they are wanting to play? I ask because our power was out for five hours yesterday and while Sonic was fine snuggled on my lap the whole time it was edging up on 10pm when the power came back on and he was getting restless. I am going to buy a huge stack of large hand warmers today after work and possibly a few hot water bottles but will these be enough to keep him warm if he leaves his igloo to play? I thought you would probably put the hand warmers around the igloo correct?
Hopefully this will be a fluke this year, as this was the first time in four years our power had gone out during winter, but who knows and better be safe and ready then sorry.
